Stop the world for tea

Fans of tea look to be raising a cuppa across the world on June 28th as plans have been made for a rolling global tea party.

It started after somebody on the Facebook group A Cup of Tea Solves Everything suggested members meet for afternoon tea in London. As many of the members were scattered around the globe, and not just Britain, it’s now been suggested that at 4pm on that day, all tea lovers stop for a cuppa as part of a global tea party.

With the time differences, the world could perhaps see tit’s first all-day tea party.

As I have a mild obsession with tea, I’ll happily stop for a brew. Milk, no sugar please.

I think it was just organised via Facebook and a few people have blogged it. I don’t know of any website for it but I’ve left a message on the group and if I get any more info I’ll post it here 🙂

The tea event thread is on A Cup of Tea Solves Everything.

There is a video posted on the group page which will show everyone the best way to make tea.
